    I'm not blaming @Jayfresh_Respawn for the lag spikes, but I am blaming him for his lack of communication. Completely ignoring this place, while spending time upvoting funny clips on reddit is disgusting, and a testament to how Respawn has veered from their old standards of delivering quality and support. Maybe it's the EA factor. That would explain why @RSPNslothy openly blamed this on ISPs instead of taking some responsibility for the unfinished **** him and his team released. All arrows point to Respawn and their second grade servers, and they won't even acknowledge the problem.

    Oh I fully agree, it is an EA/Respawn issue that is ridiculous that it hasn't been addresses. What I was saying is maybe the lack of communication from Jay, is because he has no idea what is going on either and that the network team isn't giving him any information.

    Project, I have to agree completely: I loved TF1 not just for the amazing new mechanics but bc it was the first game that felt like I was in complete control. Everything I did with my controller came out in the game. It was truly flawless.

    Kudos for keep trying @VV_AshySamurai but I think it's a lost cause. Jay's latest post was 4 days ago about a content update (which will probably just be more skins for the microtransaction market); https://forums.titanfall.com/en-us/discussion/comment/49430/#Comment_49430
    I honestly think they don't give a flying **** about this problem, or the people experiencing it. It's simply not good business to go after this error, because they already know it will take money to fix. money for better servers (and they already cut back on those) and developer time. So they mjight @RSPNslothy slothy in to insult customers again, or at some point @Jayfresh_Respawn will do the usual "we totally care and listen" dance and song ... we already know that's not true.
    Anyone experiencing toruble should consider giving Overwatch a shot. It's not quite the same experience, bu the hit detection beats RTF2 and COD by a swedish mile, and lag is non-existant (unsurprisingly considering Blizzard forked over the $$$ for proper 60Hz servers)

    I'm from Moscow, Russia. Using a 60 Mbit/s (6 Megabytes/s) wired direct Internet connection on my PC, connected to Frankfurt 1/2 Datacenter.

    On release date (played the first hour) my ping in-game was 30-45ms. Now it's nearly 90ms. Haven't changed hardware, haven't changed ISP.

    Connection to the game is usually unstable, ping fluctuates from 70ms to 90ms with occasional spikes of 150ms. Also, game sometimes just froze (happened with my friend on TeamSpeak with me also, same country, different region).

    Let's stop the ****, we must to be clear what at **** is this you make a so much beautiful game and you destroyed with **** servers, nice choice. What is happening you don't have money for better servers? The game with this servers is almost unplayable and we pay like 50 euro for the game, and thanks for the **** support you provided on your site. Also is nice touch to destroy your name EA.

    Thank You for breaking the game even further. I am getting even more severe lags with even more stutters. Back to Overwatch, sigh....

    All datacenters are now have 5ms higher ping, possibly because of whatever sniffer you set up.
    Lag spikes still happen, now in every game. Regardless of datacenter or gamemode, the ping is all over the place. I used to get a solid 49-50 (before december), now it constantly fluctuates between 33-85 with lag spikes into the 160ms range. Not much but still spikes, and a clear sign of shoddy lag compensation. This will only get worse as more and more people drop RTF2 (only 9k worldwide as I type this. I also noticed there's a short spikes every time you spawn.
    The lag spikes are w/o a doubt lag compensation, regardless of what condescending reply @RSPNslothy and @Jayfresh_Respawn have given previously, but the 20Hz tick rate is not helping either. You still die after 'phasing out.
    Like @rock1m1 I'm going back to Overwatch, and I can only recommend others to do the same. You'll really feel the night/day difference proper servers and netcode make.

    Since the patch it has become even worse. Now the game sometimes starts to stutter - I have not had that yet.

    What do you actually do? Are you trying, with all your might, to drive out those players who still have you?

    I am also getting those microstutters back with the latest update. Previously only the lag was an issue, which is still is...

    I've tried to capture some of my problems.
    As stated before my specs are:
    I7 6700K @ 4ghz, 16G RAM, GTX1070, Samsung 250SSD. Win10, Norway.

    I use Logitech G602 mouse and Logitech Extreme 3d pro joystick when i play. Also running is "xpadder" (Key mapping software for the joystick) Keyboard is Logitech 510s W/lcd and cpu/ram monitoring (Usually shows about 20-45% cpu usage and 15-55% ram when playing)

    My internet connection is 30Mb up and 15Mb Down.

    I use Amsterdam ( 29-31 ping in lobby) 42-315 in game and i tried London (34 ping in lobby) same result

    I have tried:
    -Wtfast,
    -Adjusted settings down to "Low" from "Insane" back to "Low" and waiting 6-7 sec,
    -"gpu_vram_size_mb .....",
    -Minimizing origin,
    -Closing Origin ingame
    -Closing nvidia experience,
    -Doing a restart often.
    -My motherboard has only pci Exp.3 for the GPU (Someone wrote that it helpt them when they change from a pci ex2 to 3
    -Repair game
    -Unparking CPU
    -Uninstall xbox app. via "PowerShell"
    -Only one network adapter(Wired)
    -Virus prog deactivated
    -Changes adaptive resolution to 0
    -Uninstalled Visual C++ and reinstaled


    Here are some examples:

    -Server said 31 ping (Amsterdam)
    -Ingame ping from 42-315
    -Ping goes to 185 (02:09)
    -Ping goes to 315 (07:25)

    And from 02:10 to 02:43

    -Freezes a few times between 05:56-06:22 (Tried to bring up the scoreboard with ping during stop-and-go)

    -Ping from 33-179. Game freezes alot from 09:04 and out. Had to activate boost twice 08:15-08:19. The hole round feelt "off"

    -Ping goes from 44-156 (This is the next game after the one "above" It felt better, but not 100% ok Things are still a "little off"




    The last 2 happend today.(Time/date stamp is Norwegian time zone)


    My biggest problem is "small stutters" when jumps, firing my gun, walking etc are "off" ( Not happening when they are supposed to) I'm having problems locating it in my videos but i do feel them when i'm playing.

  • Ever since this last server side update I'm having constant connection stuttering. I'm on PS4 with an average connection speed of 12 down and 4 up. I'm on the Salt Lake server and the menu says I should be getting between 24 and 36 ping. But in games it hovers around 60 and jumps into the hundreds very often, sometimes even into the thousands and forcing me to leave the game, I'm tired of losing gunfights without control, and I know for a fact that it's not me because it only started happening after this latest update and all of my friends are experiencing. I care nothing about DLC if I can't enjoy the base game.

    same ping post patch (52ms to frankfurt1, 65-90ms in game)

    but hit detection has taken an obvious plummet since the patch. i need extra bullet(s) to kill anything. no-reg, and micro-stutters.

    Movement speed became laggy and I could barely move
    Eventually dropped to 60 ping but this is highly unusual since I have 100 mbs internet

    Bandwidth does not change ping. It changes based on the distance between the source to destination

    My ping has improved, although nothing to get too excited yet. It used to jump all over place from 200 to 350+. Now it starts from 200 and does not go more than 250 most the time. Considering my Data center reports 97ms, still more than double. Weirdly enough, now I get micro freezers randomly - the game freezes for about half a second.

    Is it possible for us to ping the Titanfall 2 servers using the terminal? In that way we can figure out if it is a server issue or something is off during the packet transport.

    [UPDATE]

    Had a much better ping experience today! Data center 97ms, had no more than 140ms. OMG it feels like a huge boulder have been lifted from my shoulders when considering I used to get 350 and beyond. Thank you and hope you guys can improve it further.

    [UPDATE 2]

    It is around 10:00PM, GMT+6 hours and the ping has gone up to 200 to 280ms. Still an improvement over how it was a couple of weeks ago. Hope it stabilizes. By the way I mainly use SEA servers.

    Live in Central Texas, linked to Dallas Server. Ping normally 20-35-50 but today went well over 200-500 with massive stuttering. Also had trouble closing the game, nearly froze my computer.

    I have been having this issue STILL, and it has in fact gotten worse...

    I live in Visalia, California (USA).

    My server alternates between Oregon 1 and Oregon 2. This is pretty ****, too, how there isn't a server in California for lower ping, but whatever. My network ping is around 40. Nothing downloading. In game, I get over 200 to (my new record of) 3000. It's unplayable, especially for a player likes me who plays the game seriously.

    I play wired to my Xbox One. My network connection is 25mbps up and 5mbps down. Average 10-30ms ping in a California based server.

    1. Where you live
    2. What data center you are trying to use that gives you this issue

    This data will help the team identify how to fix. Sorry for the issue!

    PS4, hardwired, ISP Comcast, 100mbps down 10mbps up

    I connect to Oregon servers anywhere from 18 to 23ms, but in game its 80 to 300ms ping. The kill cam shows the enemies have about 1 to 2 seconds they see me before i see them. Without map hack.

    @rock1m1 if it's do to distance why is my lowest data center (according to respawn) farther away. That's what I don't understand, why are closer data centers registering higher pings?

    Most likely due to some gateway router protocols making it harder for packets to reach certain data centers, even though it is near. My money is on poor quality servers, especially the ones in Asia.

    I did a cut`n paste from my post here and posted it over at: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/High-Ping-Spikes/m-p/5829399/highlight/false#M347 Not to many posts over there about the "ping problem" so it seems few people are afected . It has been better most of the week but to day the problems where back. My ping was not to high but "erratic" (Rapid up and down) very hard to track other players and hitting them.. Hope this will be fixed in the next patch or the reason is located if its on my end. :-)

    Don't bother. Respawn is not doing anything about problem. You're better off selling the game, and get your online fix elsewhere. Overwatch is still top notch with no lag and 60Hz tick rate on their servers.

    Oregon Data Centers

    PC (well above min specs) ISP is Comcast / XFinity - 200 mbps down / 20 something up.

    Typically ping to the Oregon data centers between 15-20ish, maxing out at around 30.

    In-game ping ranges from 60-300. Lag mostly manifests as people seeing / shooting me well before I see them.
