0x887A0007 Error

"0xA887A0007 - DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET The device failed due to a badly formed command. This is a run-time issue; The application should destroy and recreate the device."

I receive this error during (what I believe is) the final mission in the Titanfall 2 campaign. It occurs at exactly the same frame each time: right after BT throws Cooper away from the Ark, at the moment when I assume the Ark would explode or something. This occurs 100% of the time.

Here is my hardware:

MSI B350 PC Mate Motherboard 6Gb/s
AMD RYZZEN 7 1700 3.0GHz (not overclocked)
AMD RADEON R580 8GB GDDR5 1340MHz (not overclocked)
16GB DDR4 2133MHz (not overclocked)
1000W PSU

This computer runs Windows 10 Pro x64 and is less than 30 days old. I am using HDMI output from my GPU and I have all in-game video settings maxed out. The game does not otherwise crash or have any problems except for this one. No other games have problems on this machine at all.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same issue and my system can definitely run the game. I haven't found a way around the game crashing.

after launching the origin application, I right clicked and repaired the titianfall2 game. after the repair, I no longer got the error and I was able to complete the game.
  • Im having the same issue and I dont know what to do. I right clicked and repaired the Titianfall 2 but nothing happened. Still having the weird error. I also tried reinstalling the game. Have no effect. So I dont know what to do. I want to win the game but I cant. Please EA or Respawn fix this. Or tell me somebody what to do or how can I fix this.

Hi EA/Respawn, I'm having the same problem and have reinstalled, and have repaired TWICE. I enjoy the game but I believe you can understand one of the main factors of its death was large issues not being fixed for YEARS.

This is a fan forum - your best off contacting EA support directly. I understand the frustration, however.
